pricey+coordination+trust+comfortable = home date
We have a lot of home dates. ;)
You could say we're just at home so it doesn't count as a date, but the more official we make it with a real plan, the more it feels like a little escape for the two of us. We try to put down Deborah early and then spring for a date.
A few weeks ago Derek was in charge of our date, and after Deborah went to sleep told me we were going to have a Harry Potter date. He made some tasty sandwiches and asked me to whip up a train car. I only had a few minutes, but it was pretty fun on such short notice. I threw on a bit of a school outfit - Gryffindor. And grabbed Derek a Hufflepuff tie - he loves Hufflepuff. Thinks they're underappreciated. :)
We ate and had a lot of fun speaking in our British accents, then went to town on the sweets while we watched Harry Potter & the Sorcerer's Stone. :) It was awesome, and so easy!
