My Budding Magician

I didn't know it, but Deborah loves magic.

And today, she gave me my own performance. Before your imagination takes flight, this isn't a post about how she got out of her crib, took off her clothes in public, managed to pull off her diaper and spread the "contents," or sneak out the front door. It really is about a magic show. ;)

We were sitting on the floor coloring together when she picks up a crayon, looks at it, shows it to me, then proceeds to put it down my sweatshirt. Then she puts her hands in the air and starts looking around with a quizzical look. She waits until I look around for it or say "where is it?", and then she magically pulls the crayon from my shirt with this huge look of surprise and wonder! (just like the picture on the left there). She did this over and over, putting it in my sweatshirt pocket, her sweater, etc. It was SOOOO cute! She totally thought of it all on her own. I did it back at her, and let me say, I had great success with my audience. :)

Can you believe that she turned 15 months on Saturday? Wow, but she's growing up so fast! And I'm super happy to say that she can blow her nose! Hallelujah to not having to use the dreaded nose sucker anymore! Or nasal aspirator as it's called. Yes, I learned its official name. I think it's weird. You'd think they'd have chosen one a bit more friendly sounding. So we wouldn't have to keep calling it the "nose sucker" or the "snot sucker." All that's irrelevant though, because did I say she can blow her nose? :)

Happy Tuesday! I hope it's full of magic!!
