Scripture Challenge #8

Oh dear. So it's not exactly Sunday, but aren't we supposed to keep its spirit and remember what we learned all week long? Yes. ;) So I'm taking that as my excuse.

But! All this is to say that the scripture challenge is back! Woohoo!

"Yea, behold, I will tell you in your mind and in your heart, by the Holy Ghost, which shall come upon you and which shall dwell in your heart. Now, behold, this is the spirit of revelation; behold, this is the spirit by which Moses brought the children of Israel through the Red Sea on dry ground."

1 Nephi 19:23 (found here) we memorized - how about you all? I love that we got this scripture fairly early in the game, because I feel like it showcases exactly why we are doing this. "I did liken all scriptures unto us, that it might be for our profit and learning." The scriptures aren't just nice sentiments shared by ancient people wholly disconnected from ourselves. They are God's words for us - our job is to apply them to ourselves - find their meaning in our own lives - so that we can learn from them & enjoy happier, fuller lives.
